Instructions

⚠️ Safety First! ⚠️

⚠️Before starting, make sure you:
Always try to lift a frame by 2 sides, this is physically safer for you but also some frames/moulding are flexible and lifting a frame by one edge can cause that side to bend out of shape and the glass could be dislodged from the rebate.

  • Step 1: Prepare the Cardboard Corners

Begin by preparing your protective cardboard corners. Fold them along the pre-scored lines to create a sturdy corner shape. This ensures they will fit snugly and provide maximum protection to your frame’s corners.

  • Step 2: Apply the First Corner

Gently slide one of the prepared cardboard corners onto a corner of your frame. Do not force it; ensure it fits smoothly. This first corner sets the foundation for protecting the entire frame.

  • Step 3: Apply The Remaining Corners

Repeat the process, applying a cardboard corner to each of the remaining three corners of the frame. Ensure that all four corners are securely in place before proceeding.

    Helpful tip:

If the frame surface is exceptionally delicate, apply a light layer of handy wrap around the frame before adding cardboard corners.

  • Step 4: Begin Wrapping with Handy Wrap

Use the handy wrap to wrap one edge of the frame corner to corner fully covering the top, sides and bottom of the edge. Lift and turn the frame 90 degrees and wrap the next edge corner to corner, then turn and wrap twice more until all four edges of the frame are wrapped.

Apply the handy wrap firmly, but not too tightly, to avoid distorting the frame.

    Helpful tip:

If the frame contains an item without glass, such as a canvas or paper artwork, cover the exposed surface with bubble wrap. Secure the bubble wrap with tape, ensuring it does not come into direct contact with the artwork itself.

  • Step 5: Complete the Wrapping

Continue wrapping the handy wrap around the frame, overlapping slightly at the corners for maximum protection. Wrap each edge, turning the frame as needed, until the entire frame is completely covered. This final step ensures your frame is fully protected.
