What is Canvas stretching & framing?
Canvas stretching is a method used to stretch canvas or similar materials over wooden stretcher bars, creating tension that supports and safely displays the artwork. Without proper stretching, a canvas may lose its shape or become damaged, especially if tightly rolled.
In addition to stretching, you can opt to have your canvas framed. We use a frame style called a “float frame” or “tray frame,” which provides structure and adds a sleek border that outlines the artwork for a polished presentation.

Expert Canvas Preparation
Before framing, we thoroughly inspect the canvas to determine the best method for stretching and mounting. Our team ensures the canvas is in excellent condition, taking care to follow best conservation practices to preserve its quality and longevity within the frame.
Precision Stretching and Mounting
Using our precise techniques, the canvas is stretched over high-quality wooden stretcher bars to ensure proper tension and stability. This critical step helps prevent sagging, warping, or damage to the artwork over time.
Customisation options
To make your framed canvas truly unique, we can attach personal touches such as artist messages, certificates of authenticity, or any other items you’d like to include to the back of the frame. We also offer engraved nameplates with captions of your choice. These customizations add a personal and meaningful touch to your display

If you’d like to frame your canvas, we will then carefully select your choosen frame style, and perfectly fit the canvas to the frame. We then finish by sealing the back with backing tape and secure hanging fixings so your canvas is ready to hang.
